Stephentown – Betty Ann Olson, 77, formerly of Stephentown, NY, passed away Tuesday morning, November 25, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Troy, NY.
Stephentown – Alice Hazel Carpenter, 83, formerly of Troy, NY, and Stephentown, NY, died peacefully in her sleep at her residence in Delmar, NY, on Friday, November 28, 2008.
Grafton – Richard Stoddard Hemendinger, 71, of Grafton, NY, passed away November 28, 2008, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, NY, after a brief illness.

One of the final touches to the Route 22 project that tore up downtown Hoosick Falls for two years was the installation of attractive period style lampposts. The lampposts and the replacement trees lining the Historic section of the Village give it a unique charm. In a couple of instances they seem to attract cars as well. Lynne Mango has worked at Upsy Daisy on John St. in Hoosick Falls for 12 years. Mariea Rousseau has had the business for sale for some time. Lynne looked around at other job opportunities and decided she loved working with flowers and she didn’t want a career change. “It was an amazing opportunity,” she said. “I like the spot and the customers.
