Katlyn Willis Is First In Talent At The National Miss New York State Finalist Pageant

Congratulations to Katlyn Willis as she won first place in the talent category for her vocal performance of “You Raise Me Up” by Josh Grobin. Katlyn had two minutes to perform, to show off her vocal abilities and to impress the panel of judges and a live audience at the Hyatt Regency in Rochester, NY, on Sunday, August 23, and she did just that. Job well done.

Revisiting Grafton’s Bicentennial
The topic of September meeting of the Grafton Historical Society is Revisiting Grafton’s Bicentennial; parade videos and photos of the big day will be presented.
The meeting will be held on September 16 at 7 pm at the Grafton Town Hall. There will be a business meeting, and refreshments will be served. The meeting is free, and the public is invited.
Kiwanis Chicken BBQ
On Tuesday, September 15, at 4:30 pm the Kiwanis will hold a chicken BBQ at the Hoosick Falls Fire Dept. on Griffin Avenue. A $10 donation gets you a half chicken, coleslaw, potato salad, roll and desert. Call Roberta at 518-686-7217 for tickets.
