We will be honoring an Historical Society volunteer at the April 15 meeting of the Grafton Historical Society – who will it be? We won’t know until April 15, so join us in finding out who this hardworking member is.
The meeting will be held at the Everett Wagar Senior Center, 1 Roxborough Rd. Grafton at 7 pm. Please note the change of meeting place. The meeting is free, and the public is invited to attend. A short business meeting will precede festivities. Light refreshments will be served.
The Stephentown Memorial Library provides free wireless internet connection for the public. The Petersburgh Children’s Garden Project is now accepting enrollment for the summer of 2009 camp sessions for children 8 to 10 years old. Children who take part will learn about the value of working in a group and, through the gardening process, will begin to understand what makes an effective, functional community. This coming Friday, April 10, is the last day of Lent. How appropriate to finish off this religious period with a delicious fish dinner served to you by the all volunteer Berlin Rescue Squad at the Berlin Fire House. From 5 to 7 pm we will be serving a dinner that includes a fish fry with roll, French fries, coleslaw, brownie, and a drink. This is an eat-in dinner but can also be taken to go. All of this can be had for $10. Please come in, have a seat, talk with some friends and be served this delicious dinner. Also, if you could bring your unwanted, returnable bottles to continue supporting Cub Scout Pack 911 it would be very much appreciated. Please call 658-2890 for pre-orders between 4 and 4:30 pm.

The Buskirk Volunteer Fire Department Inc. will once again be hosting its monthly all you can eat breakfast at their fire station on Easter Sunday April 12, from 7:30 to 11 am. The menu includes pancakes, French toast, eggs any style, bacon, sausage toast and choice of beverage. Breakfasts are served on the second Sunday of each month, October through May.
