The Grafton Historical Society will hold its May meeting at the Grafton Town Hall on May 18 at 7 pm.
The Society will host Charles Ballard. Ballard is a life long resident of Poestenkill. He has been interested in Model Ts since a young boy. He is currently President of the Capital District Chapter of the Model T Ford Club of America. He has a number of Model Ts in his collection including one that has been in his family since 1926 and a Model T snowmobile.

Cemetery Restoration Seminar In Grafton
The Grafton Historical Society’s Cemetery Committee and the Grafton Lakes State Park are sponsoring a seminar on cemetery restoration. It will be held on Saturday, May 21, from 9 am to 3 pm. The seminar will be held at the Grafton Lakes State Park.
These seminars are hands on – you will get dirty – you will learn techniques in resetting stones, cleaning and adhesive repair.

Petersburgh Rod and Gun Club Annual Turkey Shoot
The Petersburgh Rod and Gun Club annual turkey shoots will be held on May 15 and May 22 (rain date June 5 ) at the Petersburgh Rod and Gun Club on Scriven Road. The event starts at noon. Spend an afternoon filled with fun, food (hot dogs, hamburgers, homemade pies) and raffles, just to mention a few. Families are encouraged. We will also be holding our summer long 50/50 raffle. Taconic Valley Community Group Meeting
The Taconic Valley Community Group’s next meeting is May 12. The speaker is Kelly McGivern from New Lebanon Central High School. Kelly will explain to all how the Taconic Valley Community Group can set up a scholarship award for one student from New Lebanon High and one student from Berlin High School who will be working in community related activities. All area residents are invited to attend. Come meet your friends and neighbors. The meeting is at the Immaculate Conception Church Hall Rt. 20 in Lebanon at 12:30. Refreshments will be served.
