Berlin: A Look Back; A Foundation For Planning Ahead
The Comprehensive Planning Committee of Berlin is planning a program on Wednesday, September 16, 7 pm, at the Berlin Jr/Sr High School as part of the Committee’s planning for the future. Town Historian Sharon Klein will narrate a program with historical slides of Berlin. If you have never been to one of Klein’s programs you are in for a treat as she takes us back to Berlin of yesteryear.
Survey results will be available (they are also available online on the Berlin Library’s website www.bftl.org), as well as information on upcoming focus groups for public input. Be sure to mark your calendars for this upcoming event.
New Lebanon Library Receives Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation Grant
The New Lebanon Library has received a $1,000 grant from the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation through the Foundation’s Fund for Columbia County. The Petersburgh Fire Auxiliary will hold a Charlie Hot Dog Fund Raiser at the Fire House on Thursday, September 17, beginning at 5 pm. We’ll be there until the dogs are gone. Pre-orders may be called in ahead of time to Janet at 658-3053.
The prices are $.75 each, $4.50 for a half dozen and $ 9 for a dozen. We’d appreciate the community stopping by to support our endeavor.
