Mentorworks Garden Yields Produce For The Needy

Last Spring, participants in MentorWorks, the Hoosick Falls mentoring program, planted a garden at the Hoosick Youth & Community Center as a community service project. Stimulus Money Provides Face Lift For Hoosick Meadows

New York State received $3,507,722,854 in stimulus money from the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act. The Department of Housing and Urban Development received $15 million. Luke Hoag Is Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk Hero

Luke Hoag, 2, of Hoosick Falls, has been named a Hero of the 21st annual Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk. As a Walk Hero, Luke will inspire more than 8,000 participants to walk up to 26.2 miles along the historic route of the Boston Marathon® and raise money for cancer care and research through Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and its Jimmy Fund.
